Title: MR-guidance in Radiation Therapy

Speaker: Kathryn Mittauer, Ph.D., Staff Medical Physicist at University of Wisconsin-Madison

Date/Time: Wednesday, January 17th, 2018, at 5 PM EST

With the advent of MR-integrated radiation therapy systems, there has been a significant advancement in the localization and delivery of radiation therapy. This webinar will present clinical and quality assurance aspects of an MR-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) program.  An overview of current MRgRT systems, clinical workflow, and MR-imaging capabilities will be discussed. Unique features of an MRgRT program including considerations of online adaptive radiotherapy, MR-based planning, and clinical cases will be highlighted.

Topics to be covered in this MR-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) webinar:

  1. MRgRT systems
  2. Workflow
  3. MR imaging in MRgRT
  4. Usefulness of MR in RT guidance (clinical cases)
  5. Planning considerations
  6. Online adaptive radiotherapy
  7. Quality Assurance
